Jim, First of all, thank you for this service. I wanted to tell you the short story of how we found this couch. My girlfriend and I bought a house last week and prior to this, I’ve never been concerned with the aesthetic or quality of our furniture due to us moving so often. When I saw this AP piece, I had a reaction I’ve not really felt looking at furniture, it was so unique and I just felt like it matched my exact wants for our living room. I’m appreciative of your family’s history and how it brought me into the realm of considering furniture more than somewhere to sit. It’s been so interesting deep diving the history of AP and learning about other styles and designers. Thank you.

Jim, I seriously can’t thank you enough for getting back to me so quickly. We had every intention of buying it today and I’m so glad that we are going to avoid making a huge mistake. My 14 year old son has been saving up to purchase an Adrian Pearsall sofa / couch. He finally thought he found one, but he was questioning some of the features and it appears he was right. The seller kept reassuring him it was legit, so I’m not certain the seller even realizes it’s not an AP. All I know is my son would have been crushed, just absolutely devastated, if he would’ve purchased it, only to find out later that it wasn’t an AP. So, thank you so very much for your quick response to my email and for confirming his suspicions that it was indeed, not an authentic AP and saving him from a nightmare.

Thank you for the quick response! I have downloaded both documents from Dropbox and I really appreciate all the accompanying information you have provided. I grew up in the furniture industry and still work at a furniture manufacturer outside of High Point, so I really enjoyed seeing the old product catalogs, print ads, showroom photos and price lists. And of course, I am pleased to learn that my table is an authentic Adrian Pearsall! Thanks again for your help.

I still can’t believe the clients I took photos for didn’t want the chair. I reached out to tell them about it and surprisingly they told me to keep it and appreciate it – which I will. So wild, it was tucked in the corner of their basement and I loved the organic look of the chair – not to mention I always wanted something like it but I am in Wyoming and ordering furniture can be quite the gamble. My amazon account constantly shows me furniture with MCM characteristics and I’ve made the mistake of ordering a chair that was terribly uncomfortable and poorly made. Anyway I love it and will definitely take good care of it. Ironically, My grandfather was a woodcarver and I could always find him in his “studio” or better word for the basement. Some of my most prized belongings are the birds he made and a reclaimed pie safe. After all this – it makes me think it was my grandpa who gifted me with catching the beauty of this chair. Thank you for sharing all this with me and helping me authenticate the piece. Your father made beautiful work.

Very helpful – Thank you, sir. I am very proud to be able to place one of your father’s designs in my country home. I’ve wanted this very sofa for nearly two decades when someone bought it up from underneath me at a little vintage shop I frequented. How strange that I just happened upon it in a vacant store window about an hour away from my home, and the person who bought it those years ago was ready to let it go. You do wonderful work in honoring BOTH your parents. I loved reading about your experience working with your dad and his company. As you said, I am lucky to have both these pieces and to have grown up with both of them! My mom had great taste and I’m sure she is smiling down from heaven now. I may be selling them but for the bit of time I have left with them, I’m certainly going to continue to enjoy them. I always loved them!

Hi, During a recent move, my Adrian Pearsall couch was damaged. The couch was given to me by my grandmother and I have been in an exhaustive search to identify the couch model number as the mover’s insurance company is not willing to pay for the damages unless I certify the authenticity of the couch. Hello, I cannot tell you how excieted I was to discover this website.  My father (now 91) used to own a modern furniture store in Portland OR.  In their living room, they still have the Craft 2300-S sofa and coffee table.  Since I was a small child I have said that all I ever wanted when they died was the furniture in the living room.  It is EXACTLY as it was when they brought it home in the early 60s.  I now live in Palm Springs, CA, and am very into anything mid century modern.  I have a great “Alexander” designed home in the Movie Colony of P.S. and someday, this fantastic sofa will be residing in my living room.   This furniture was built for my house!I emailed this website to my father this morning.  I cant wait to hear his response….Im sure it will bring back a lot of memories for him as well.Thank you very much, this made my morning! Good day,
Since finding your site we are disappointed to hear of fraudulent sellers affecting your late father’s business. We have long wanted a Pearsall sofa, and after many years we are now in a position to afford one, specifically this one …But now we are now VERY concerned with moving forward with the purchase. This piece is a HUGE investment for us and will more than happy to pay for the authentication. However, Can you recommend a reputable seller in North America? We almost bought from Swanky. Glad we didn’t.
