Please don’t do this…

This morning I received a certification request that started with “I was looking to get the information and certification on my piece I picked up!” Included with that rather simplistic explanation was one photo of a chair. Nothing more…Sadly, the chair has only a similar characteristic to a chair that Adrian Pearsall designed and manufactured, but it is not remotely the same. I don’t know if he was told that the chair was an Adrian Pearsall design or manufactured by Craft Associates. And I don’t know how much he paid for the chair. If you are not an expert, it just makes snse to ask the seller (before you make a purchase) to provide certification. Avoid regretting the purchase after you find out the piece you purchased is not authentic. If the seller refuses to provide authentication, it is best to move on.
